Historically, in traditional parade settings Apsaalooke Women have adorned themselves in the war regalia of their husband to add to his reputation and veneration. Only recently have Women been representing themselves and their individual accolade. Dr. Janine Pease has been extremely successful in her career of education and academic activism. This piece is a recognition of her work and her power in representing her own narrative.
